Merry Christmas 2013!!

We want to wish our friends and family a wonderful Christmas Season and express our thanks for your influence in the life of our family!

Janika is a Senior at Tuacahn High School. She spends her mornings at Dixie State University taking concurrent enrollment classes and her afternoons at Tuacahn where she is currently serving as Tuacahn's Seminary President.  In April of this year she was crowned the new Santa Clara City Princess!  She has had a lot of fun, especially since her first attendant, Kiara Christensen, is her best friend.  They were able to participate in quite a bit of community service in this capacity.  Janika started her first job this year at Neilson's Frozen Custard.  This was also Janika's sixth year being a Hands in Harmony Caroler! 

 

 

Jase is a Sophomore at Snow Canyon High School and continues to get straight A's every semester.  We are very proud of Jase for earning his Eagle Scout this year!  Jase was really excited to finally get his braces off this year after wearing them for three years!  Jase received his learner's permit this year and joined the Cross Country team at his high school.  Jase has a great group of friends and attends parties practically every weekend.  He was also a Hands and Harmony Caroler this year. 

 

 

Jared didn't want to be a caroler, but that is okay because he was a HUGE help to me this year while Rick, and the other kids were out performing.  He helped babysit Josh and Jenna and helped fix and clean up meals.  Some of Jared's talents include juggling while riding on a Unicycle as well as doing all kinds of flips and stunts in Parkour -- until he broke his thumb playing basketball and had to take a break from those kinds of activities.  Jared is a great student and has a fun personality and always makes me laugh!

 

 

 

Janelle is 11 years old and in the fourth grade.  She got braces at the same time Jared did.  She won the Storytelling Festival at Arrowhead and then went on to compete at District, winning first place! She won $10.00 and a certificate and medal and got to perform her story at the Opera House for a local Story "Tellabration."  For her 11th birthday Janelle received an official invitation to Hogwarts and invited her friends to a Harry Potter Birthday party.  This was Janelle's third year being a Hands in Harmony Caroler. She also enjoyed being in the Arrowhead Elementary School Choir,

Jaiden is nine years old and in the third grade.  She and Janelle both participated in the Arrowhead Elementary School Choir.  Jaiden continued to take Jazz/Ballet at Spotlight and when that studio closed, she continued with Jazz/Hip Hop at Trio.  She loves to play with friends and spends a lot of time in the pool in the summer.  She loves having dance parties in the basement.  This was her second year being a Hands in Harmony Caroler.  She and Janelle sang the duet "I Wanna Hippopotamus for Christmas," and did a great job! 

Josh is seven years old and in the second grade.  He is doing very well in the Dual Immersion Chinese Program at his elementary school.  Josh's favorite books are "Diary of a Wimpy Kid."  He has read the entire series at least twice and just started the "Harry Potter" series.  Josh likes playing with his friends.  He also enjoys playing Arcade Games.  He wants to report that he got his first black eye this year, playing "Monkey in the Middle" at school and has lost six teeth so far!

 

Jenna is five years old and attends preschool.  She also participates in an on-line preschool with the Waterford Program.  This year her brother, Jared, taught her how to ride a bike without training wheels.  Jenna is extremely social and very active!  She wants to play with friends constantly and loves playing at the park, riding her bike, jumping on the tramp, and going swimming.  We found out that Jenna is Celiac (like her mom) on her fifth birthday and so she is now on a permanent gluten free diet.
